Club Wax is popular with a younger crowd that enjoys the All-You-Can-Drink Bar and DJs with a preferance for heavier Hip Hop and R'n'B tunes.

It's located close to ShiDa and attracts a lot of foreign students as well!

Guest This place sucks. They have stupid rules for everything and the people working there are not friendly at all. For sure, it is full of kids from 18-24, not a place for mature women or men to hang out.

Guest I would agree with that last post. My experience there wasn‘t so great. All of the tables and seats are "reserved" for the regulars. Most likely, whomever they want to reserve them for. I saw only Taiwanese being allowed to use the "reserved" seating. So be prepared to stand all night or find a wall to lean against if you‘re a foreigner. When me and my girlfriend tried to dance together on the bandstand, security came over and told me it‘s "only for girls". The dancefloor is very small and unstable. It‘s pieced together like a puzzle and is loose. I can only assume it‘s a removable dance floor because it doesn‘t fit together well. There is a tripping hazard. They only play hip-hop and rap, so if you‘re into techno or any other music, this isn‘t your place. They won‘t even take requests. They also repeat the same songs over and over throughout the night. I know what you mean by the people who work there are not friendly. Even my gf who is Taiwanese says so. They were not polite or semi-professional at the door, at the bar, or in any aspect of their business. This place gets a "C" for atmosphere, a "D" for music, and a "D" for staff/service. It‘s definitely a rough place, but that‘s what you can expect when they cater to such a young crowd. I can only recommend someone to go there on Foreigner night (Wednesday) because it‘s 350NT and all you can drink. That‘s the only thing I can find good about Club Wax. It really needs to polish up its act - pardon the pun.

Guest Im a foreign and I have to say I hate this place, bad music and unfriendly bartenders. I am a guy but i really hate foreign guys who come in this place, getting drunk, talking shit and being a dickhead all night long. And let‘s be fair, almost all the foreign dudes in Wax are fat, ugly, uncool and incredibly weird!

Guest Yea stupid dude up there you need to pay money for the table. Just have everyone pitch in a couple hundred and you get it. Ive reserved many a table there and its not bad.

bestgunners a birthday person can book a room for HALF price, and doesn‘t need an entry fee. a room comes with a bottle of alcohol. but the friends of the birthday person need to pay for the entry tickets. on fridays and saturdays is men/NT600 women/NT350 and the price for the room is 2000, but because a birthday person can book a room for HALF price, so it will be NT1000 for one room only.
