DC gives a personal Bluesy, reading of the classic songs from the Great American songwriters; the Gershwin Brothers, Irving Berlin, Gus Kahn, Johnny Mercer, Harold Arlen, Jerome Kern, Duke Ellington, Vernon Duke, Walter Donaldson and Hoagie Carmichael. He prefaces each song with a brief introduction to its songwriter, and does not hesitate to remind us that these are artists, "we should all know more about”.
