Chai Kefu 鄧志峰(Tang Chi Fong )
" Chai kefu "Tang Chi Fong is a singer-songwriter based in Macau. His music incorporates a variety of music style including pop, alternative and experimental music with the use of band, acoustic, classical music and electronic elements. He concepts in music and creativity changes and evolves at different stages where he takes different roles as a musician. During his studies in music at the Macau Polytechnic Institute, he was one of the very few artists in Macau to experiment on the mix of classical strings music, modern music instruments and electronic sound effects in music arrangement. After finished his studies, he began to work as a music teacher where he was given a chance to lead a children’s choir at a primary school choir competition and acted as the pioneer to use his own original music at the competition, which can be seen as a groundbreaking and innovative move to break the tradition of music education in Macau. He has also been active in Macau’s music scene, both as an individual and collaboration with other local artists. One notable music project is the “Warmwall” formed with local musicians Nancy Io and Franky Wong, which is known for the diversified use of musical instruments and music genre in music creation, and experimenting on the possibility to mix pop, experimental and classical music to explore the unexplored areas of modern music.
