Sidney Frank /
Sidney Frank was born to Transylvanian parents in the Canadian town of Brantford in 1955. After discovering the Beatles, King Crimson, and John Coltrane through late night radio transmissions from nearby Toronto, he developed a free, untutored approach to harmonica and saxophone, performing sporadically in the late 1970s and 1980s. His first live performance in more than 25 years, at Beijing’s now-defunct XP, featured experimentations in digital synthesis, drawing from his long-standing fascination with drone, exploratory jazz, and Zen Buddhist chant. He will be performing a live hardware synth set for his first ever show in Taipei. Sid is the father of real human brother duo Hot & Cold.
